We are saved by Grace!

People should never forget, that we are not saved by being a perfect human being (no one on this earth is actually even able to be this perfect) but we are saved by boundless grace. God's Love for us is so strong and great, that he wants to forgive everyone, but he can only forgive the ones that actually repent and confess their sins and seek the Lord's forgiveness. This is the first step - just the first step!

This first step is without any doubt the most crucial one, but your journey does not stop there. It is a misleading believe and teaching - and many pastors and preachers actually preach this - to think that just by simply repenting you are automatically saved forever. Let us tell you - YOU ARE NOT. We don't want to burst any bubbles here, but we simply want to tell you the truth, as this is our duty in the Lord. If you want to stay in the Lord's Grace and go to Heaven you radically need to change.

For Example, you cannot pray to the Lord and confess you are a sinner and ask him to forgive your sins, but on the other hand you continue smoking, drinking, committing fornication, doing drugs, go bar-hopping etc. This is not how it works. Salvation does not simply come through God's Grace and then you are allowed to continue sinning. You need to change. Jesus himself said - 2. Chronicles Chapter 7, Vers 14: "If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

He specifically says TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS - this cannot be interpreted in any wrong way, it is as simple as it is stated.

Also Jesus said, that you "cannot serve two Masters at the same time". Matthew Chapter 6, Vers 24: “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Money."

If you don't turn away from your sin, you are automatically serving Satan, which keeps you from serving the Lord. So if you gave your life to Jesus, you have taken the first step. The next steps include reflecting your life and changing it, so it no longer contradicts the Word of God and especially the Will of God.
