False Teachers and False Prophets in Christianity

Nowadays we live in a time, where there are many different faces of Christianity. But the majority is not the truth. True Christians are very few. Many teach and follow a false Bible, follow false teachings that are only pleasing their own lusts and pleasures or compromise their faith for acceptance by the world, which a Christian should never do. Jesus said himself in Matthew 24:3-5: As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many."

Even more clear are Jesus' words in 2. Peter 2:1-3: But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. ³ In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

2. Corinthians 11:13-15: "For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."

Jesus spoke of false teachers and false teachings all the time and he warned us various times of their deception. Nowadays the world only knows the following interpretations of Christianity, which are all false and unbiblical. We want to show you, why these teachings are false and that you shouldn't follow them:

The Roman Catholic Church (RCC), also known as the Vatican claims that the Pope is the legal representative of God on earth. This is blasphemy. The Bible teaches that no one is to be called "Holy Father" except for our only Father in heaven. Also no one on this planet can ever be a representative for Jesus Christ because through his death on the cross we are all able to have an intimate relationship with him. The Vatican has changed God's Laws and they worship idols and idolatry is forbidden in the Bible. Through the worhsip of the Apostles like Peter and the Virgin Mary they break God's first commandment. Mary is not holy, she is just a person who was used by God. The Vatican is - as hard as it is for many catholics to believe - a church of Satan and its goal is to deceive people and to drive them away from God. The word of the Pope is worth nothing. His papacy is worth nothing. The current Pope of the Vatican is not only a Pope, he is also the Black Pope of the Jesuits, which is another sect. Apart from all the horrible sexual offenses and pedophile activities that are going on in the catholic church, such a "church" was never called or build by God. Catholicism is a sect and it is very sad that the world thinks that it is Christianity.

Every popular and famous preacher - everyone of them - belongs to the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and the Charismatic Church. If someone preaches the true Word of God he or she will never ever get famous or rich and be loved by the world. The true Word of God leads people who listen to it to repentance and it holds up a mirror to their faces making them realize that they are sinners who need a savior. The NAR and the Charismatic Movement do not do that. Preachers like Joyce Meyer or Joel Osteen preach that as a Christian you must be rich and healthy but this is nowhere found in the Bible. On the contrary - Jesus never promises riches, he doesn't even promise a peaceful life. He tells us in Luke 9:23: "Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me."

The Bible promises us that we will be laughed at, hated, rejected and made fun of for our faith and we even will be persecuted and killed. Whoever is not ready to take on these things is not worthy of being a follower of Jesus. All those wannabe-preachers never mention any of that - they never preach on sin, repentance or about what it truly means to be a Christian in a fallen, hopeless and dark world. 

Joel Osteen tells us something about "Having your best life now". But whoever has their "best life now" is doomed to go to Hell after death. Be careful and watch for those false teachers - millions of people are following them and have no idea that they aren't even saved. The numbers of fans or followers they have means nothing at all. The only thing that matters is truth. Noah was the only one that listened to God - and then the milliones of people who laughed at Noah for building an Arch died in the flood. 

Here are some of the most dangerous false teachers:

Joel Osteen, Victoria Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Todd White, Paula White, Kenneth Copeland, Gloria Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Beth Moore, Bill Johnson (everything from Bethel Church), Hillsong (including all preachers and teachings), International House of Prayer (IHOP), Jesus Culture (Band of Bethel Church, who also preach at their concerts), Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Scientology, Jehova's Witness, and much more.

For space reasons it is impossible to list ALL false teachers that are in this world. They just keep appearing and appearing with no end in sight. The important thing is: compare their teachings with the Bible. You need to examine every spirit and every teaching, just as Jesus told us to do. The Apostle Paul also spoke of false teachers and teachings and encouraged all Christians in the early Church to compare everything with srcipture. Always remember: this is about your salvation and your soul and eternity!

Especially within the Charismatic Movement they teach that Christians (all Christians) have the exact same spiritual gifts as the Apostles did when Jesus walked the earth. As we have already stated many times on this site, the Apostolic Gifts of healing, detailed prophecy as well as all the wonders and miracles from the New Testament no longer exist today. Those were Gifts given by God through the Holy Spirit in order to spread the Gospel and to testify for Jesus' deity and in order to confirm that his resurrection and everything he ever said was the truth. 

Don't ever let anyone tell you that he or she "clearly hears God's voice", or "talks to God" or "meets God". This never happens. Of course it is still possible for Christians to be spoken to by God through dreams. It is possible for little miracles to happen, but never again to the same degree it happened during the time of the early Church and especially not in the way those false teachers make it appear. Here, too you need to test the spirits and compare everything to scripture.

Within the NAR it has become very "cool" to be "drunk with or by the Holy Spirit". It shows itself by people laughing hysterically or falling over backwards. But this is in no way biblical. There is no single chapter in the Bible that speaks of this or where something like this is described to have happend. None of the Apostles or Jesus himself ever behaved this way - on the contrary: they have always been of sane and sound mind. Nowhere in the Bible it says that we should "empty ourselves" or "turn off our heads". The Apostle Paul even warns us of doing something like this. 

Through these methods many unbelievers - and this also includes Christian who are NOT Chtistians but simply believe they are Christians - conjure up a Hindu Spirit which is called Kundalini. This Spirit takes over people and possesses them and those people no longer have control over their bodies or their actions. They twitch weirdly and laugh uncontrollably and moan, as if they were in labour. Do your research on this Kundalini Spirit and look at videos of people doing those hinduistic ceremonies. They act very strangely and this hindu behaviour can no longer be distinguished from what the so-called Christians of the Charismatic Movement are doing. It is not from God and no matter what anyone is trying to tell you, it is a Demon and never the real Holy Spirit of God. No Prophet has ever behaved that way. Moses has seen a fraction of God's Glory on the Mountain and has never acted this way. He was of sound mind. Stay away from these teachings and methods because they will make you a vessel for Demons and with lack of knowledge and unbelieve you will never be able to get rid of them. For this you need real and sincere repentance. These Spirits know very well, where your weaknesses are and whether you are a true follower of Jesus or not. The spiritual world is an even realer world than this one and in the spiritual realm things happen that we cannot see, but it doesn't mean that they are not real.

It is very understandable that you may now be full of frustration and no longer know, who you can trust or not. Firstly: trust Jesus and trust the Bible. It is the written Word of God which will stand forever and ever.
